Can you be angry with Mathematics?

Imagine you are emotionally attached a few odd numbers like 3, 9, 13.

Like most of the present day educated, imagine you do not know multiplication and hence depend on calculators.

You multiply 2 by 2 in a calculator and are disappointed that the output on the screen is 4 and not any of your favourite number.

Next you multiply 3 by 3 and are happy with the 9 on the screen.

In the former case, can you be angry with 4 or the calculator or the method of calculating 2 by 2? Instead,  setting aside your anger, if you make sincere effort, you may be able to understand the method of calculating (principle) and even the process of the calculator in calculating (process)

There is no harm if you thank God for the later result.

We, the finite, do not know the mathematics of the life governed by infinite factors.

Depending on our understanding, we know only the partial (finite) of the infinite dimension mathematics of life.

Our disappointments and anger we experience due to the outcomes we face in our life are the valuable signals, cognizing which we must make open minded sincere effort to understand the principle and process of life – the Tao.

Obviously we can not do it if we can not get rid of the negative feelings we experience.

Tail piece:  A Quiz

Which is the most powerful number?

a)     million  b) billion  c) trillion  d) infinite e) zero

The right answer is‘e’. Though infinite may be the biggest number, it has no mathematical power to transform any number into infinite. But any number divided by zero will transform that number into infinite. Also all numbers 1 or million, or trillion are same to zero w.r.t the above transformation.

Hence zero is the most powerful number. We, the finite, CAN subject ourselves to the above transformation, if we can get rid of (the technique revealed in Bhagavat Geetha) anger and disappointments (noises) to experience the transformation (the Signal).

The same technique is also revealed in the following ancient Tamil text.

 'தீதும் நன்றும் பிறர்தர வாரா;
( thEthum nhanRum piRar thara vArA;

Translation: Good and bad do not come from others)

If you can experience the ZERO in you, you can experience the infinite - GOD

That experience can not be revealed in words - the vehicle of finite communication.
